A Celebration Begins With a Vision
A quinceañera is made up of so many pieces — the dress, the beauty details, the people helping bring the celebration together, and the photographs that preserve it all.
I had the opportunity to photograph the Quince Expo and spend the day capturing some of those pieces as they came together. From meeting local vendors and watching hair and makeup artists work their magic to photographing the beautiful gowns and editorial-style portraits, there was inspiration around every corner.

The expo brought together talented artists who created beautiful looks throughout the day. I loved getting to photograph a little of that behind-the-scenes process — from the first touches of makeup to intricate hairstyles and the finished looks.

Of course, one of the biggest moments of any quinceañera is finding the dress. The expo brought an incredible variety of gowns to the runway, from soft and romantic to bold and dramatic, giving families plenty of inspiration for the celebration ahead.

From soft and romantic to dramatic and bold, every gown brought its own personality to the runway. Seeing them together was a fun reminder that there isn't one “right” quinceañera look — the dress should feel like her.

I loved seeing the girls step in front of the camera during the expo and watching their personalities come through in these more editorial-style portraits.
