A relaxed, guided experience designed to capture the connection between you before your wedding day.
Your engagement session is more than a chance to have beautiful photos—it’s an opportunity for us to connect before your wedding day. You’ll get comfortable in front of my camera, learn how I guide and pose naturally, and see just how easy and relaxed the experience can be. Most couples walk away saying this made them feel so much more confident and excited for their wedding photos.
Together, we’ll plan a session that feels true to you—from choosing a meaningful location to styling that reflects your personality. My goal is to create a fun, laid-back experience where you can focus on each other while I capture the genuine moments in between. These images become the first chapter of your wedding story.

Choose Your Location
Your engagement session doesn't have to happen in a traditional portrait location. Think about places that feel like you—your favorite park, a downtown spot, a place you love to explore, or somewhere that simply feels like your story.
We'll choose a location that gives us room to move, interact, and create images that feel natural to you. If you aren't sure where to go, don't worry—I can help you find the right fit.
Plan What to Wear
What you wear should feel like you. We'll talk through outfits, colors, layers, and coordinating pieces so you feel comfortable and confident without looking overly matched.
And don't be afraid to add some color or personality. Think about the things that make you you as a couple—the places you love, the things you enjoy doing together, your favorite activities, your pets, or the little traditions that are part of your story. Your session can include those things, giving us a chance to create images that feel personal rather than posed.
A little preparation goes a long way, too. Give yourself time for nails, haircuts, shaving or grooming, and any other details you want to feel good about.
Relax & Enjoy It
You don't need to know how to pose or worry about what to do with your hands. I'll guide you throughout the session with natural prompts and gentle direction, giving you plenty of room to simply be together.
We'll walk, talk, laugh, snuggle, and enjoy the time together while I capture the moments that happen naturally. Some of your favorite images may be the ones you never realized I was taking.
My goal is for you to leave your session thinking, “That was actually fun.” And when your wedding day arrives, you'll already know what it feels like to have me there helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
How long is an engagement session?
If you're booking an engagement session as part of a wedding package with me, the length depends on the collection you choose. My wedding packages include 30-, 60-, or 90-minute engagement sessions.
You can also book a standalone engagement session for up to 60 minutes, even if I'm not photographing your wedding day.
Do you help us choose a location?
Absolutely! I’ll start by asking if there’s a special place, favorite activity, or something you do together that means a lot to you. From there, we’ll look at what’s possible and figure out how to make it happen.
I want your session to feel like your story, not just a pretty location.
Our wedding is taking place somewhere else. Can we still book an engagement session with you?
Absolutely! You can book a standalone engagement session with me even if I'm not photographing your wedding. If you're dreaming of somewhere farther away, ask me about my bucket list—I have a passport! Travel costs are quoted based on the location.
How many images will we receive, and how do we get them?
After your session, I'll upload and carefully cull your images, then you'll have the opportunity to choose your favorites. Depending on the length of your session, you'll select approximately 15–45 images to be professionally edited.
Once your images are finished, I'll deliver them through a private online gallery with full personal printing and usage rights, so you can download your images and use them to create prints, albums, and other keepsakes.
What if we're akward in front of the camera?
You don't need to know how to pose or be naturally comfortable in front of a camera. I'll guide you throughout the session with natural prompts and gentle direction, while giving you plenty of space to simply be together.
We'll walk, talk, laugh, snuggle, and have fun. My goal is for you to leave thinking, “That was actually fun.”
