About me...the person and the photographer

If you don't think photos are important, wait until they are the only thing you have left.

A little about me

My belief is that every person should be framed in the moments they’ve felt the most loved and cared for.

As I grow as being a photographer, I want to make sure families have their memories safe and created into lovely artwork and albums for future to share.

PS, this top photo is a portrait of my dog, isn't she so cute! <3

If you don't think photos are important...

Wait until they are all you have left

Hi, I'm Katie
Thank you for taking time to come view my beautiful photos and memories with very special people.

This quote hits so close to home because photos are the only thing I have left of some very special people in my life. A single moment frozen in time to commemorate the years of celebrating the good times and the sad. Photography is my second career, but I have a deep love of art and have been taking photos for many years.

I'd love to tell you a little about me and how I got here.

Our kids grow up so fast. Don't let these memories slip away

I'm a wife, a mom, a dog mom and a photographer. I live in a small town in Nebraska and have lived in Nebraska for almost all of my life. Something people don't know about me is that I like to travel and am coming up with quite a bucket list and also love art and photography. I've not always been a photographer, however after a few huge life events that effected my health and loosing a loved one, I needed to do something that makes me happy. Now, I get to do my favorite thing in the world, photographing your life moments.

I specialize in portraits of your life milestones. From engagements, weddings, and event photography to maternity, birth and family portraits.

Why is photography important to me?

Taking photos makes me happy

Why is photography important to me? It's because as a child my mom worked hard and took the time to put all of our memories in to my baby book and photos into our albums. As I got older I knew where my early life memories existed but then social media came into play. Now we take pictures on our phone and many photos and memories are not printed. I didn't get back into printing my memories until I got married and then started scrapbooking.

My life memories are another story, my first big life event was getting married. We didn't opt for an engagement session and we flew to a destination and eloped. The moment that I put on my dress and was finishing getting ready for the ceremony I felt my heart breaking because I realized that I didn't want to get married in this foreign place, I really wanted the traditional big wedding day. I wanted specific people with me and everything being documented by a photographer, but it wasn't going to happen. After all was said and done, our venue charged us by the photo, but when they realized that we didn't have many to chose from they gave us as many as they could. We received around 5-10 images. One of our friends took photos over the course of our trip but nothing like I really wished I had.

My main goal is to make sure my clients have their memories safe and able to be displayed in albums and printed art for the future.

I wanted to share some of my family photos. Yes, my family hates photos too. But I want to have the memories too. They don't like the flashy lights or the sitting and smiling even thought I try to not make it super long for them. Also, no my son doesn't like to be my model either. (but that doesn't mean I won't keep trying)

My job description: I capture a memory that you can have forever and share it with the important people in your life. I strive to document and capture the range of emotions in that moment. We create art for your home and walls to share and love in the future.....

Why choose me as your photographer?

Photography just makes me happy. It's the capturing candid times within the group and just being there to make sure memories get frozen in time. It is the way to capture the story of life without any words and speaking volume without a sound. I want you to see the beautiful version of you, at your best or at your worse. Getting your photos taken is hard because you are your worse critic and don't feel beautiful. Choosing to become a photographer was not the easiest change in my life but feel the most fulfilled. I see beauty and want want my clients to feel it. My heart is full when clients gush just as much as I do when they see their photos.

My Philosophy

Photography is Art

Photographs reflect our dreams, wishes, wants, and insecurities - a plethora of memories and emotions, drives and intents. They are made in a split second where that moment of time is frozen, a hiccup of time that otherwise would have been invisible to us.

I want to help you capture that moment because you are the picture, Let me take it for you.

Invest into your family legacy. Love. Memories. Lifetime. Forever.
